Health workforce strategy development - Student survey

Queensland Health is embarking on the development of a statewide health workforce strategy to ensure that Queensland has a future health workforce that is capable, responsive, sustainable, and prepared to meet health service needs and expectations over the coming decade and beyond.  The demand for health services is expanding and expenditure on health care is rising with it. The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet's 2014 Reform of the Federation White Paper has outlined that, as our population increases and ages, as the burden of chronic disease grows, and as consumer expectations for better, faster, health services climb, the pressures on the health system and the health workforce are building.

Queensland Health is undertaking targeted consultation through a variety of mechanisms.  This online survey is one of a number of opportunities stakeholders will have to participate in information sharing and the provision of feedback.

  • This first online survey is targeted at participants in the future health workforce.
  • Survey respondents will be current students undertaking health studies with a view to working in a clinical or clinical support role (medical, nursing midwifery, allied health, dental, paramedicine, etc) and either studying in Queensland or undertaking clinical placements in Queensland.

The survey should not take any longer than 10 minutes to complete.
